    The Bahrain National Heritage Festival 2022 has begun

    His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain delegated Deputy Prime Minister His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa to open the 28th Bahrain Heritage Festival. The festival is being held under the theme Our Golden Heritage. At the opening of the festival on behalf of His Majesty the King, Shaikh Mohammed expressed HM the King’s pride, as well as royal interest in this cultural event which began in 1992.

    The Bahrain National Heritage Festival 2022 has begunAs a means of revitalizing Bahrain’s cultural scene, he emphasized the festival’s importance in showcasing Bahrain’s rich heritage, civilization, and willingness to embrace other cultures. This year’s festival brings a burst of creativity to Bahrain’s culture scene and contributes to the nation’s overall development. Through programs that enhance Bahraini heritage and help transmit it down the generations, this vital national festival aims to preserve the cultural and national identity of Bahrain.

    Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities (BACA) President Shaikha Mai bint Mohammed Al Khalifa was praised for her strong commitment to the organization of the festival and shedding light on the Kingdom’s golden heritage. The opening ceremony was also attended by Shaikha Mai and Muharraq Governor Salman bin Isa bin Hindi Al Mannai, in addition to senior diplomats, cultural stakeholders and the media.
