    King of Bahrain, Mohammed bin Zayed discuss strengthening cooperation

    His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, discussed with His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain, the prospects of further consolidating the fraternal relations between the two nations across all fields. During the meeting, which took place at the Sakhir Palace in Bahrain, King Hamad welcomed His Highness Sheikh Mohamed. He wished him good health and continued prosperity for the UAE and its people.

    King of Bahrain, Mohammed bin Zayed discuss strengthening cooperationCordial discussions were held between the UAE and Bahrain about their longstanding relations. They also discussed their shared desire to expand common interests and fulfill their peoples’ aspirations for further progress and development. Additionally, they discussed Gulf and Arab issues and exchanged views on regional and global developments. Sheikh Mohamed noted the depth and range of relations between the two countries, their leaders, as well as the desire that binds them to keep strengthening and developing them in various fields thanks to the support of the President, His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and the King.

    Taking the lead from the founding fathers, King Hamad took pride in the strong relations binding Bahrain and the United Arab Emirates, as reflected in their joint stances on different issues. UAE’s unwavering support for Bahrain and its people at all stages and on all levels was lauded by him. Both leaders stressed the importance of further developing trade and investment cooperation, emphasizing the need to build on achievements and expand cooperation between the private sectors of both countries. Their joint aspirations and goals also include exploring joint cooperation in technology, science, energy, renewable energy, environment, health, and education. To achieve progress and prosperity for the citizens of the GCC countries, the two leaders called for coordinated Gulf action to tackle current challenges.

    The participants emphasized the importance of strengthening Arab unity and concerted efforts to achieve Arab solidarity, as well as enhancing joint Arab action to meet the aspirations of the Arab people for security, stability and prosperity. King Hamad hosted an Iftar banquet. The banquet was attended by the delegation accompanying Sheikh Mohamed including Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan; Sheikh Mohamed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Advisor for Special Affairs at the Ministry of Presidential Affairs; Sheikh Sultan bin Hamdan Al Nahyan, the UAE ambassador to Bahrain, and Dr. Anwar Gargash, Diplomatic Adviser to UAE President.
