In an effort to pool regional efforts to combat climate change, a Jordanian delegation has traveled to Dubai to participate in the Middle East and North Africa Climate Week 2022 (MENACW22) meetings. The first-ever MENA Climate Week will conclude on 31 March 2022. The delegation was led by Jordanian Environment Minister Dr. Muawieh Khalid Radaideh, who said Jordan is committed to the international efforts to combat climate change, adding that Jordan is exerting unremitting efforts to implement the international agreements signed to that end, including the Paris Agreement.

Jordan delegation heads to Dubai to participate in MENACW22A major objective of MENACW22 is to shed light on the necessity of taking action in order to combat climate change. The conference promotes cooperation between stakeholders in order to resolve this crisis. This is the first-ever MENA Climate Week and will conclude on 31 March 2022. This event will build on the outcomes of COP26 and explore resilience against climate risks, the transition to a low-carbon economy, and collaboration to tackle pressing challenges. Climate action will be integrated into global pandemic recovery at MENACW 2022. Regional stakeholders have the opportunity to address social inequalities and invest in sustainable economic development.
