    Fourth round of political consultations between Bahrain and South Korea

    The Kingdom of Bahrain and South Korea held their fourth round of political consultations today in Seoul. The meeting was led by the Undersecretary for Political Affairs at the Foreign Ministry, Dr. Shaikh Abdullah bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, and the Deputy Foreign Minister for Political Affairs of South Korea, Yeo Seung Bae.

    Fourth round of political consultations between Bahrain and South KoreaThe Undersecretary for Political Affairs commended the development of friendly relations between the two countries since they established diplomatic relations 46 years ago. He praised the steady development of bilateral relations at various levels. This was with the support of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa, and South Korea’s President, Yoon Suk Yeol.

    A total of 18 agreements and memoranda of understanding for bilateral cooperation, including exchanges of experiences in human development and digital transformation, were signed by the two sides. The two sides will cooperate in trade, investments, infrastructure, health, space sciences, environment and renewable energy.

    Also discussed were regional and international issues of common interest, taking into account the Kingdom’s position as president of the Asian Cooperation Dialogue, as well as the commitment of the two countries to consolidate tolerance and dialogue and to promote security, peace, and sustainable development.

    Mr Bae welcomed the Bahraini delegation’s visit to his country, emphasizing the need to consolidate distinguished bilateral relations and develop them in various fields for the benefit of the two friendly countries. He wished the Kingdom of Bahrain further progress and prosperity.
