Emirates has announced it will ramp up its global operations with the restart of services to four destinations, including: Bali (1 May), London Stansted (1 August), Rio de Janeiro (2 November), and Buenos Aires (2 November). The airline also announced it would increase flights to Nigeria, Mauritius, and Singapore. The expansion of Emirates’ global network coincides with the easing of travel restrictions worldwide.
Emirates will operate five weekly flights to Bali beginning 1st May 2022, using a two-class Boeing 777-300ER aircraft. Moreover, the airline will begin serving the island destination daily as of 1st July, 2022. In addition to its spectacular mountains, picturesque beaches, and cultural appeal, Bali is a world-renowned tourist destination.
With effect from 1st August, 2022, Emirates will operate five weekly flights using its Boeing 777-300ER aircraft fitted with the Game Changer First Class product to London Stansted. The airline will fly daily from 1st September. The airline will be serving the UK with 110 weekly flights by October 2022, including six daily flights to London Heathrow; a double daily A380 service to Gatwick; three daily flights to Manchester, including a double daily A380 service (starting 1st October, 2022); and five weekly flights to Newcastle (with the fifth weekly flight starting 1st July, 2022).
From 2nd November, 2022, Emirates will operate four weekly flights to Buenos Aires via Rio de Janeiro – connecting Argentina and Brazil with popular business and leisure destinations across the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Emirates will expand to a daily operation by 1 February 2023, providing customers with greater convenience, choice and flexibility as they plan their travel.
Emirates is increasing its service to Lagos with 11 weekly flights beginning July 1, 2022. As of 1st September, 2022, the airline will offer a double daily service to the city – bringing its services to pre-pandemic levels. Emirates will also offer daily service to Nigeria’s capital city, Abuja, starting on 1st May, 2022, and then five weekly services starting on 1st September, 2022.
As a result of rising demand, the airline will increase Mauritius flights from daily to nine weekly flights between 9 April 2022 and the end of June 2022, and then double daily flights from July 2022 onwards. Emirates’ second daily flight will boost tourism to the Indian Ocean destination, which has recently relaxed entry restrictions. Customers of both airlines can benefit from seamless connectivity to and from the island nation because of the codeshare agreement with Air Mauritius.
Starting from 23 June 2022, the airline will increase the number of weekly flights it operates to Singapore, from seven to fourteen weekly flights. Due to the increase in demand for travel since the country was reopened to international tourists and travel restrictions were eased, the new service will meet the increased demand for travel.
After the resumption of services to four more locations, Emirates’ extensive network will cover more than 130 destinations on six continents. As part of its commitment to safety, it continues to implement a comprehensive set of measures on the ground across all touch-points as well as on board the aircraft to provide the highest safety and hygiene standards throughout the journey. Dubai passengers can also take advantage of contactless technology to streamline their travel through the airport.
